Meet the teachers....
Mr. Bidlack
I am looking forward to this upcoming year and I am very excited to be joining the team here at Rio! I recently finished my teaching credential through Chico State and this is my second year with Rio Del Oro. I am certain this upcoming year will be a success and look forward to watching my students grow.
I married my high school sweetheart in 2010. We haven't expanded our family yet, but plan to sometime in the near future. For now we happily reside in Oroville with our cat and enjoy traveling and spending time with family.
Teaching brings me a lot of joy and I am thrilled to see what this year has in store.
Mrs. Mierzwa:
I am excited to be back teaching! Prior to having children, I taught second grade in the Mt. Diablo Unified School District. I am looking forward to being back in the classroom and working with same amazing children and with a wonderful staff at RIo Del Oro. The fourth grade team is committed to working together to reach all children.
I grew up in the Bay Area, went to college in Santa Barbara, and returned home and married someone I went to high school with. We now have 3 amazing children! We live in Plumas Lake and our children attend Rio Del Oro.
I have missed teaching and seeing the children every day puts a smile on my face. They are our future!
Mrs. Wilson:
I have been teaching at Rio Del Oro Elementary for 10 years. For the last decade, I have taught second grade, but this year decided to try my hand at fourth! It has been a quite a change for sure, but I am looking very forward to the challenge.
I grew up in Southern California and spent the first 18 years of my life there. It was there I met my husband at the age of 17, married him at 18, and had our first child at 19! We now live right around the corner from Rio with our two children, two cats, and one dog. Our son is starting Yuba College very soon, and our daughter is starting her first year of high school at Wheatland. Life is good.
Teaching is always something that has been a passion, and I absolutely can't picture myself doing anything else! Mr. Bidlack, Mrs. Mierzwa, and I are going to do our best to make this year unforgettable for your child!
